The launch date for my new children’s book Astronaut Lamby is drawing closer. Some people have asked why I’m launching it on 16th June so I’ll tell you. Back in on this day in 1963 Russian Cosmonaut, Valentina Tereshkova became the first female in space. This seemed like a fitting anniversary to choose for Lamby’s first book.
As well as the book reading, there will also be a Q and A with myself and the illustrator Holly Bushnell. This is a chance for children (and adults) to ask us questions about the book, writing or drawing in general. There will then be a chance for children to write some book reviews. If your child has a Children’s University Passport please bring it along as your child can claim one credit for this event.
We’ve also got another surprise in the shape of Lamby’s rocket but I won’t tell you anymore about that, you’ll have to come along and see for yourself…
